Boehm Farm
США
Добавлен 14 май 2016
We are a family owned farm in Southwest Ohio. Our farm incorporates a wide variety of agriculture. We do a yearly rotation of corn and soybeans. We also plant sweet corn and a variety of vegetables. In addition we house many flowers and vegetables in our greenhouse for summer time purchase. If that wasn't enough, our time is also spent caring for laying hens, raising meat chickens, and beef cows. This channel is set up to give an insight into how a small family owned farm works.
Double Hooked Anhydrous Tanks
It's what we're doing and it's functional, but not the long term plan for nitrogen application.

Trying a Microbial Mix on the Corn Seed

We're trying something new! Inoculant on the corn. A long time ago, Dad used T-22. I don't know what ever happened to that. Now I found Myco Gold to try out. We will find out at harvest if it works.

The cost of shipping would have close to the same as what we paid for the chopper. Good thing Brennan and I found this "sprayer" trailer last winter. Now I can get into all sorts of adventures hauling combines and such!

I hate making hay during planting season, but here goes nothing. At least this cover crop makes a few dollars instead of wasting it on rye.

Ford TW25 Oil and Filter Change
Просмотров 7 тыс.2 месяца назад
Lube is the name of the game. It doesn't last forever, so we have to change it out. Friction and heat are the worst enemy. Trannies and gear boxes don't get as hot as engines, so we can skate by a while longer before replacing that oil. One odd note, the front hubs aren't vented, which is hard because they are turning, so they build up pressure, which eventually will cause oil seepage.
Oops!! I Plowed the Camera!

Spring tillage was going pretty well, until the fuel tank fell off and I lost the camera. Now, it won't stop raining. I'd rather lose the camera again than deal with never ending rain.

I had my fun using parts off the old F2. I sold a few parts, and now I'm tired of looking at it. If you are in my area, I highly recommend going to River Metals for best payout.

Chain Lube Before Picking Corn in the Rain
Is there not a temp guage to help your father to not overheat his engine? This is a critical use item to have an engine overheat guage. In fact not just a guage but also an idiot light.
The very worst time for your little motor is running low when not changed. In other words by not putting oil in it just before a change means the lubricity goes down and now it's low means not so goot. Just saying I doubt ya'll will change your policy but that is when the oil addendum puts immediate more slickum for the engine components. I have often considered not adding just before changing but in the fall when cranking with the old oil it cranks slightly slower with the old used oil and the new oil cranks faster in the cold. That is after a maximum length oil change.
👍👌❤️🇨🇦
Hope you get the audio figured out.
Yeah, me too
When I heard "I may have Brenden weld it up" I just started laughing! Glad I'm not the only Brenden that welds😂
I think with solid plastic wrap this just might be as good as the silo.
The steers clean it up well.
All these machines and iv never seen the fuel tanker ? 😜🤣.. fair set of discs you have.. can just imagine full setvof duels on the white as well.. stay safe 🏴
Someone keeps deleting comments.
EXCELLENT camera shots!
When I was little I was afraid of those tanks because I thought they were bombs
Good video.
Excellent vid... lovely seeing something done that's not seen so much over here.. stay safe 🏴
Hhhmmm. Could you put a 2nd nitrolator / distributor/ flow controller on the tool bar to hook the tank directly to? Have a second set of small hoses to the row units? And just swap the small lines to the row units when side dressing. Heck, I think I have a nitrolater under the parts shelf I could send you for next year.
I have an old co-op bar that I want to get functional for next year.
Good morning Boehm farm fans. The 1086 looking like a boss pulling that rig 👍👍
It's been on anhydrous duty for years.
@@boehmfarm4276 nice 👍
Good morning Jacob.
Do you know the bearing size in that fan
I kinda wonder what White was thinking since the market for articulated 4x4s at the time was the big western farms, like where Versatile, Steiger, Wagner, MRS, etc had covered, where a articulated 4x4 for rowcrop work was a thing from Versatile and Steiger, neither were really popular, so why White went smaller and into that it doesn't make sense It makes even less sense that they made prototypes for slightly larger models to be made in the mid 80s, where even if the market didn't crash, they would have been small and noncompetitive in the market.
It only worked because they used a bunch of parts from two wheel drive tractors they already had.
I enjoy your videos but have never seen soil that color. I live in southern Minnesota and our soil is as black as coal
Locally, it's a very light colored clay. I wouldn't know what to do with black dirt.

It's fun to watch old iron still at work. It's a reminder of simplistic equipment was in the 70s and 80s. Easier to run than today's equipment. Mechanical vs computers: give me old iron and mechanical every day.
Nice video
Speaking of Big tractor power, he's looking for a T85 combine to film, I put your name in his comments. Haha
A neighbor had a John Deere 4630 back many years ago. They are 150 PTO HP. Have a 404 turbocharged engine. I might be wrong. But I believe he said it burned 9-10 gallons a hour. When it was pulling hard, like rippers or a disc. So 10 GPH isn't anything out of the ordinary!!
When is the the 2 plus 2 going to the field
Another great video
Great camera work
If you want to ruin that disk, put earth metal blades on it.. BTDT

You ever gonna do “the rise and fall of Nic” video? 😊
Nobody would watch because nobody cares.
I would pay big money to hear Unedited non youtube friendly stories of Nicks exploits lol
@farmcentralohio You sir are wrong!
Good video.
I like the center chisel on the 2500 to clean up the untouched soil.
I’m surprised the 3208 makes only this HP? I thought the truck version were almost 200.
Jacob you have built up a nice fleet of equipment.
You need to fix you're sound
What about the horsepower of the 2+2
Good stuff
Nice looking setup, is your volume wanting to goof up? The audio comes and goes. You can thank bad management for AC going out of business. It’s kinda odd, Agco don’t like to admit their name means Allis Gleaner Corp.
Yes, I'm discovering sound issues an at least trying to get the dialogue on the same level. Camera is supposed to dull the background noise as a factory feature.
@@boehmfarm4276 oh ok I was just wondering
Well that's a good looking setup anyways
